As the co-founder of Bitfiasi Initiative, a financial literacy agency dedicated to African women’s economic liberation through Bitcoin, Lydia Sena Ami Kudowor is championing a revolution to empower young African women through financial education.
The trailblazing leader has defied convention and redefined success on her own terms. But her journey to success hasn’t always been straightforward.
Growing up, Sena’s definition of success was centred around personal achievements. However, as she progressed in her career, “my focus shifted to creating meaningful impact through empowerment and authentic leadership,” she reveals.
To the mother of two, success now means “seeing others thrive as a result of my guidance and support,” she says.
As a millennial woman in a male-dominated industry, Sena has faced her fair share of challenges, having been underestimated and sometimes marginalised, but she’s never let that hold her back. Instead, she’s used those experiences to fuel her determination and prove her expertise.
As a leader focused on creating real value for the people she serves, Sena’s leadership style is centered around personal agency and transformation, as she believes in actively listening to her team, encouraging open communication, and empowering others to take initiative.
Her commitment to continuous learning and self-reflection has helped her refine her leadership style and become a role model for many young women.
Through her work with Bitfiasi, Sena, 34, is providing women with the tools and resources they need to achieve financial independence and confidence through her passion for empowerment.
